The waitlist forms, in plain terms

What the waitlist keeps, and how to have it removed

This note covers the signup forms on this site. It says what we store when you join, who processes it, why we keep it, and how to leave.

Last updated 2026-09-13.

What we store

When you submit a signup form, this is what leaves your browser and what we keep:

  • Your email address, the one you type into the form.
  • Your answer to the role question, when you pick one. It sits on the subscriber as a tag and as a metadata field, so renaming a tag later does not lose the answer. Skip the question and nothing is stored for it.
  • The consent sentence you saw next to the button, word for word, with the date that wording last changed (2026-09-12) and the time you submitted, read from your own browser clock.
  • Our email provider's own record of when the subscriber was created, and whether the confirmation link in its first email was clicked.

That is the list. We don't ask for a name, a phone number or payment details, and no form on the site takes a card.

Who processes it

Buttondown (buttondown.com) is our email provider. The signup forms post straight to it, and it holds the subscriber list. It sends the confirmation email, then every waitlist email and change alert after that. The unsubscribe links in those emails come from Buttondown, and it keeps the record of who confirmed and who left.

The site itself is static. It loads no third-party scripts and there is no analytics code, so your address only leaves the browser when you submit a form.

Why we keep it

One email when the daily SPUS list goes live, then an email only on the days a stock enters or leaves SPUS, plus HLAL's quarter-end changes from the fund's SEC filings. Your role answer picks the follow-up: builders hear when the JSON schema is stable.

That is the only use. We don't sell the list, and we don't hand it to anyone except the provider that sends it.

How to unsubscribe

Every email from the list carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and the emails stop, and you don't have to say why. If a link ever fails, write to info@safastack.com and we will take you off by hand.

Unsubscribing marks your record as unsubscribed rather than deleting it. That is how the provider remembers not to email you again if the same address is ever added back by mistake.

How to ask for deletion

Write to info@safastack.com from the address on the list, or name the address in the message, and ask for it to be deleted. We remove the subscriber record with the consent sentence, its version and the timestamp, and we reply when it is done.

If you only want the emails to stop, the unsubscribe link in any email is faster.

The emails and the data behind them report what the funds publish. That is data, not investment advice. Questions about this note: info@safastack.com.
